Helping the whole team "get it"

Nothing can be more frustrating for parents and teachers than not knowing how to help a child in school. Sometimes understanding why school is so hard takes the pressure off, resulting in more effective communication and an empowered team.

As an adjunct instructor at Bank Street College and guest lecturer, I have worked tirelessly to elucidate the experiences of children with learning and attention differences. When we know where they're coming from, we can all move forward together! My presentations are customized to suit your needs. Recent topics include:

  • The Learning Process*

  • What is a Learning Disability?*

  • Successful Self-Advocacy: How to Communicate Learning Needs*

  • Differentiation in Real-Life: Tips for Modifying Directions and Materials for Students with Learning Disabilities

  • Homework Help: Targeted Strategies for Promoting Independence
